 The Governor of River state, Nyesom Wike, on Saturday, narrowly escaped assassination by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad and some soldiers. A statement from Government House in Port Harcourt suggested that the safety agents that assaulted the governor's convoy were in procession of motorcade of Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi.
