Funke Akindele, a politician and Nollywood actress has revealed her reasons for leaving Twitter after losing the election.

Funke Akindele, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deputy governorship candidate, was defeated at her polling unit by the incumbent governor.

A few days after she lost the election, Funke Akindele removed all of her posts relating to her political career.

Funke avoided Twitter after she lost her election. A curious fan asked about Funke's absence from Twitter after her recent return.

The fan wrote;

“Madam Funke, I site you… Longest time... you run away from us abi wot happen?”

Funke responded;

“Dem too dey insult people on this app, so I stay off.”
