Nigerian music producer Michael Collins Ajereh also known as Don Jazzy has advised other artists in Nigeria to follow the same promotional strategy used by Davido.

Davido's fourth studio album, Timeless was released earlier this year to critical acclaim. To promote the album, Davido has been on a media tour.

Don Jazzy was highly impressed by Davido's promotional strategies and encouraged other Nigerian artists to follow his example. Marvin's boss said that Davido didn't rest on his laurels despite being an established artist. Don Jazzy posted his advice to fellow artists on Twitter on Monday, saying that promotion does not reduce one's hard work. He said that artists should take inspiration from Davido's marketing strategies, and not only rely on their celebrity status for their music sales.

Since its release, Davido’s album “Timeless” has shattered numerous streaming records, including becoming the highest-charting album by an African artist on US Apple Music (peaking at Number 2).

Additionally, it became the first African album to reach Number One on US iTunes Albums Chart and the album with the most significant first-day streams in Audiomack’s history.
