Alexx Ekubo a popular Nollywood actor was recently under fire for making what appeared to be a harmless joke on social media.

The thespian had taken to his Instagram page on Friday, ahead of Saturday's governorship and house of assembly elections, to share a hilarious video of a man displaying his flexibility, and in his caption, he made reference to colleague Chioma Akpotha's ordeal during the presidential election in February.

You will recall that Chioma Akpotha, during the presidential election on February 25, 2023, cried out online after she and other voters got attacked by thugs at their polling unit. ICYMI.

Alexx shared the hilarious video and stated that he was preparing to defend Jandor/Funke's votes in Lagos this Saturday. Then he tagged Chioma and laughed at her reaction to his attack on her polling unit during last week's presidential election.

“Nobody. Me: prepping to count & protect #JandorFunke votes tomorrow. @chiomakpotha come & see how to defend votes here no be to put hand for face dey shout I was attacked, I can’t beeleeve this”, he captioned the post.



However, while Chioma just laughed off Alexx Ekubo’s comment and called him a ‘native goat’, some netizens who didn’t find the statement funny lambasted him over the post.
