Albert Agulanna, a candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency in Imo State was fired by the Abuja Federal High Court.

In a case initiated by Uzoma Ugochukwu of Aboh Mbaise on Friday, the court ordered that a new primary be held within the constituency in the next 14 days.

Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala is the federal constituency of Emeka Ihedioha, the former governor of the state.

According to a report from The Nation, this happened less than a week after Jones Onyereri (PDP candidate for Imo West senatorial District) was fired by the Supreme Court.

Ihedioha was accused of orchestrating the sacking Of Onyereri, while the National Secretary of the party, Samuel Anyanwu, was said to be behind the sacking of Agulanna.

According to reports, Anyanwu and Ihedioha are interested in the PDP governorship ticket in Imo State for November 11.

Although some members of the party expressed concern over the internal crisis, Collins Opuruozor, spokesperson for the party, stated that "Enemies of the party who were afraid of the PDP's public acceptance were using the courts to knock off the PDP from the ballot."
