The Oluwalose community located along Okolowo, a suburb of Ilorin metropolis, Kwara state was raided by kidnappers. They reportedly abducted unspecified numbers of residents.

According to reports, the armed men invaded the community at midnight on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, shooting sporadically.

According to a source within the community, at least 15 people including Mr. Buhari Tunde (the community chairman) were taken by the gunmen.

According to the source, residents fled the area in panic until the Operation Harmony tactical team arrived around 2:00 AM.

However, Okasanmi Ajayi, spokesperson for the state police who confirmed the incident said that two men were abducted in the early morning attack.

The PPRO added that efforts are been made to get the victims rescued.
