Governor Mai Mala Buni, Yobe, has declared Monday and Tuesday public holidays in order to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari into the state.

This information was made public by Alhaji Garba Bilal (the state Head of Service), in Damaturu, on Sunday.

Buhari will visit the state to open projects such as Cargo Airport, Ultra-Modern Market and Maternal and Child Health Care Complex, according to reports.

Bilal said, “ this is to enable civil servants and the general public to receive the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who will be in the state on a one-day State Visit to commission projects.”

He, however, stated that civil servants are to resume work on Wednesday January 11.
