Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment has encouraged Nigerians to embrace the new year with positive outlooks and be hopeful for a better Nigeria.

In his Sunday message for the new year, the minister offered this advice in Abuja.

He said that while Nigerians face many challenges, they are not insurmountable. Therefore, it is important for everyone to look forward to the New Year with a positive outlook.

"As we celebrate the beginning of 2023, we must also look back on the outgone year, with the knowledge that brighter days are ahead of us.

"Athough our challenges are daunting, we must be courageous and determined to rise up and meet them.

"It is this spirit that will keep us going until we reach the desired destination of a prosperous and bountiful Nigeria that our founding fathers fought for," he added.

Ngige took the opportunity to express gratitude to Nigerian workers who supported the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) regime, and himself since 2015.

He stated that the administration has always prioritized workers welfare since inception and will continue to support them even as it winds down in five months.
