Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Mercy Johnson and her husband, Prince Odi Okojie have put smiles on the faces of widows.

The mother of four took to her Instagram page to share a video of her and her husband reaching out to the widows and other women in her community.

Expressing gratitude to her sponsors and parents, Mercy Johnson wrote,

“I was filled with so much joy to see the smiles on the faces of widows and other women during our yearly widows end of the year outreach this Christmas.

With the support of our partners and sponsors. We at #TheMJOFoundation were able to give out good items and s lot more to over women in need.

My sincere thanks to our sponsors and partners for coming through. I am grateful.

@poweroilng supported us for the 2nd year running. Thank you thank you!….”.

This isn’t the first time, Mercy Johnson and her husband are showing love to the less privilege.

Months back, Mercy Johnson and her Prince Odi Okojie had warmed the hearts of Nigerians by gifting a septuagenarian, Elder Francis Uhioh of Amando Quarters, Amendokhian, Uromi a brand new house.

Sharing photos on his Instagram page, Prince Odi Okojie gave thanks to God for helping them fulfil the promise made to the stranger, whom they have never met.

“Dear friends and well-wishers,

To the glory of God Almighty, Yesterday the 16th of June, 2022, I and my amiable wife, Mrs Mercy Johnson Okojie kept our promise as we officially handed over the keys of the brand new house we built for the septuagenarian, Elder Francis Uhioh of Amando Quarters, Amendokhian, Uromi. It particularly excites us to see joy and happiness restored back to this family whom I have never met until yesterday at the official opening ceremony.

Like I have said before and still reiterating now, showing love and bringing succour to people in dire need is a divine calling for me. Giving back to the needy amongst us is not a feature of how much one has in the bank, but of how much love one has at heart.

In our outreach programmes over the years, I learnt that there is a special kind of joy that comes with uplifting people no matter the strata of society they belong to. It pleases God when we do the least we can for fellow brethren, especially in critical situations.

Let me use this medium to thank my great mentor, our father, a philanthropist of excellence and a passionate lover of God, Bishop Matthew Okpebholo JP and his entourage for squeezing out time from his ever-busy schedule to grace the occasion of the opening ceremony despite the heavy downpour. My father sir, Obulu! Obulu!!

Few days back, news reported that Tonto Dikeh, who is well known for her philanthropic acts, had once again given back to the society.

The deputy governship candidate for River State has kick started her yearly 10,000 smiles for Christmas charity work. The ex-wife of Olakunle Churchill donated hundred bags of rice, money and more to the widows and elderly.

“@officialtontodikehfoundation is Glad to announce that we have kicked off our 10,000 SMILES FOR CHRISTMAS charity work…. We kick started with Rivers State, Rumuokuta, Obiakpor LGA, where we distributed hundreds of bags of rice and including money to support the widows and out smile on their faces…..”.
