Three young men were reportedly murdered by unknown assailants, believed to be ritualists from Ibadan (the Oyo State capital).

The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, December 26th, 2022 around Office Bus Stop, after the World Oil petrol station on the new Ibadan/Oyo Expressway in the Akinyele Local Government area of the state.

According to Punch, one of the victims was reportedly beheaded while vital parts were also removed from the remaining two bodies.

"I saw the lifeless body of these people in the morning when I was carrying passengers from Ojoo to Toose today. The case looks like a ritual because one of them was beheaded," a commercial driver, Abdulfatai AbdulGaniyu said.

Another source stated, "Passengers looking for low prices and cheap buses are usually staying at the bus stop to board their vehicles to Oyo, Ogbomoso, or Ilorin."

"They cannot afford the fare at the terminal, that’s why they stay there. But this particular case is quite different because some of their vital organs were removed."

That's bad. The authorities should ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book
