American based Trinidad and Tobago's singer, Nicki Minaj will take the stand in defence of her brother, Jelani Maraj who's confronting a child molestation case in a New York court.

The 38-year-old Jelani is accused of having s*x with his 12-year-old stepdaughter, a claim that he pleaded not guilty to when he was indicted of felony sexual assault against a child.

His sister could be taking the stand in attempt to prove that he was incapable of commiting such a crime. His attorneys claim that the girl's mum who Maraj was wed, is creating the accusation to extort Nicki Minaj of $25 million.

The prosecution will attempt to show that Jelani had intercourse with the minor multiples times in 2015 until he had been detained in 2015 which discovered Maraj's semen on woman's nightgown.

But the defence has promised that the girl's mother planted Maraj's DNA on clothing himself and made sure police discovered them.
