The Chief of Staff, Directorate of Chaplain Services Protestant, Nigerian Army, Rt. Revd (Lt. Col) Joseph Njoku, has said Nigeria needs the right leadership that would give it a sense of direction and rescues it from its current challenges.

According to Sunday's statement, the military officer stated that during the graduation and maiden convocation of Anchor Leadership Academy, Anchor International Youth and Teen Work Academy at West Africa Theological Seminary in Ipaja (Lago), the military officer made the statement.

Njoku said, “Nigerians cannot pretend to admit that the country is safe with challenges of kidnapping, armed robbery, banditry, and terrorism ravaging the country coupled with the unpalatable state of the economy. Hence, the country needs the right leadership to give her a sense of direction.”

In his address, the President of Anchor International Outreach Ministry, Pastor Bolarinwa Omotosho, noted that “The church is the solution to the ills in Nigeria today and if the leaders can release their members that have the pedigree to participate in politics and are supported, the country would experience a positive change in Nigeria politics.”

On his part, the Chairman, of Governing Council, WATS, Rev. Emmanuel Oluwayemi, called for a new generation of leaders, adding that current leaders have failed the country.
