Police have arrested a 25-year-old man, identified as Godsgift Uweghwerhen for allegedly flogging his three-year-old daughter to death in the Aladja Community, Udu Local Government Area, Delta State.

The toddler who has been sick for quite some time was flogged by her father for entering a neighbor's apartment.

Uweghwerhen fled the scene after realizing that his child was dead from the beatings she had received.

The Ubogo vigilante team captured him and handed him over to the Nigeria Police Ovwian/Aladja Division.

The Public Relations Officer of Delta State Command, Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident.
