Onochie Kaykay and Abdullahi Mokwenye were arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). They are suspected members of a ruthless syndicate of land racketeers who terrorize potential property owners in Abuja.

Wilson Uwujaren (EFCC spokesman), disclosed the information in a Friday statement. He said that the suspects were arrested on Thursday, November 24, 2022, based on verifiable intelligence linking them with several land frauds where victims were deprived of their hard-earned cash through land transactions using fake documents.

One victim told how the suspects had sold the land for N5m, and then resold the land to two other people with fake documents.

One of the victims had allegedly spent N45m on the property before it was reclaimed by the genuine owner and demolished.

The suspects will be arraigned in court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
