Professor Abiodun Olubayo, Chief Medical Director at Nigeria's foremost tertiary health institution, University College Hospital (UCH), stated that 600 of its health workers have resigned in the last one year.

According to him

"Every week, I signed resignation letters of 15 health workers at the institution, who are mostly clinicians, that is, Nurses, Doctors and Pharmacists, among others."he said

He stated that no fewer than 600 of the hospital's clinical staff have left the hospital between 2020 and October 15, 2022. He also mentioned that bureaucracy bottlenecks has been hindering their replacement.
