During a Gombe campaign, supporters of Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), were reportedly attacked.

Three people were reported to have been injured by Kalare boys, who were armed with a cutlass, swords, clubs, and other dangerous weapons.

It was also gathered that three vehicles were damaged after Atiku's supporters were ambushed at Pantami stadium road.

To ensure security for supporters, police officers manning gate one of the stadium were quickly moved to the second gate.
