Five people were killed in a fatal accident that took place at Isma Village on Bauchi-Jos Road in Bauchi State.

The crash, which occurred Saturday morning at 7.50 am, left two other people with varying degrees of injuries.

This information was provided by Yusuf Abdullahi (Commander, Federal Road Safety Corp Bauchi State), to our correspondent on Saturday.

He stated that the crash involved two vehicles: a petrol tanker belonging to AIB Petroleum and a private car, a Peugeot 406

He stated that seven people were involved in the crash, including three male adults, three women adults, and one child.

Abdullahi said the crash was caused by a speed violation, adding that it took the FRSC rescue team 26 minutes to get to the scene of the crash.

“Immediately our rescue team got to the scene after 26 minutes that we were informed, they rushed the victims to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital for treatment and confirmation.

“It was when they got to the hospital that a medical doctor confirmed five people; two male adults, two female adults, and one female child, dead.”
