As president, Atiku won’t disobey court order – Ologbondiyan by D1ANA(f) : 1:29 pm On Oct 29, 2022 |
According to the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar will uphold the rule of law and not disobey court orders if he is elected as President in next year's general elections. Kola Ologbondiyan (the spokesperson for the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Organisation) told Saturday PUNCH that Atiku's political path had a lot to do with obedience to court orders. He said that if he is elected President, his administration will not spare any effort in strengthening the rule law, regardless of whether or not court rulings favor his administration. “Atiku Abubakar is a symbol of the rule of law. He fought all his battles through the courts. When a man of his stature explored the law courts on all issues that concerned him, you can be sure that when he is sworn in on May 29, 2023 as the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, he will stand on the side of the law. “Atiku will also work with the National Assembly and the judiciary to improve on our jurisprudence,” Ologbondiyan said during a phone interview. |
