Isaac Akpan, a resident of Lagos's Ajah, has been accused of stabbing Godwin Otto during a fight.

Police have taken the suspect into custody.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin (Police Public Relations Officer) stated that the incident took place on October 10, 2022, when Akpan, 35, stabbed Otto during a fight.

Hundeyin stated that a group brought the suspect to Ajah Police to file a report.

He disclosed that the scene was visited by detectives from Ajah who removed the corpse to the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) Mortuary at Yaba for autopsy, while investigation was ongoing.

The spokesman, however, commended the people who brought the suspect to the police without taking law into their hands.
