 Yakubu Mahmood, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission has disclosed that 2.7 Million double registrations were weeded from the last Continuous Voters Register exercise by the commission. Yakubu spoke at the National Endowment for Democracy Washington DC event on Tuesday, October 11. He also stated that the new Permanent Voter Card will be available by November. He also said that approximately 50% of the new PVCs were ready, but have yet to be distributed at collection centers. |
