On Monday, October 10, unknown gunmen invaded the Ezza North local governement area headquarters and set a section on fire. They destroyed valuable documents and items worth millions.

Chief Ogodo Ali, chairman of the local government, confirmed the incident to newsmen. He said that arsonists numbered over 20 stormed the area at 1:30 AM and set fire to the local government's store.

He claimed that the police resisted the arsonists and inflicted bullet wounds to some of them before they fled.

"The fire destroyed new air conditioners bought for the renovation of the council, some documents and a generating sets and some furniture", he explained.

According to the chairman, efforts are being made for the capture of the hoodlums.
