Akindele Opeyemi Olufemi (32 years old) was paraded by the Ekiti State Police Command. He was arrested at a "Stop and Search Point", where he was questioned by members of the Command's Safer Highways.

When he was stopped by police, the suspect was riding a motorcycle and had a bag in his hand. The Police eventually overpowered him and he rebuffed any attempts to search his bag.

After an extensive search, he was able to locate different denominations of Nigerian money in his possession. He could not provide a clear explanation of how he obtained the money when questioned.

Later, police investigations revealed that he had stolen the money from Christ Apostolic Church, Camp Ground, Ikeji in Ara-Ikeji State.

He confessed to the commission of the crime, as he said he served in the Church for Two years as a Security guard and resigned earlier this year, so he went back to the Camp Ground in the guise of a "Personal all night Prayer" and made way to the Church offering Vault and carted away the Money.

The Money when counted was Six hundred Thousand, One hundred and Fifteen naira (600,115 Naira)

The police said the suspect will be charged to court, alongside other criminals who were apprehended by the State Police Command
