Three soldiers were killed by bandits in an attack near Dolen Kaura village, Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area, Zamfara State.

Punch was told by an eyewitness that soldiers were killed in an ambush of their vehicle on Wednesday, September 28th.

The military personnel received intelligence that the bandits planned to attack Kadamutsa village in Zurmi Local Government Area. They were then deployed to stop the attack.

The bandits were also informed by soldiers that they were coming to attack them, unfortunately.

The source gave the name of the team leader who was killed as ‘Major Emos”, describing him as a gallant military officer.

He said;

“He was a gallant military officer who dedicated his life to defend the lives of the people of the Kaura-namoda local government area.

“The deceased was always available on distress call whenever there was bandits’ attack within the area.

“His death is a great loss not only to the people of Kaura-namoda local government but the entire state.”
