On Tuesday, September 27, Prof. Joe Iorapuu (Vice Chancellor, Benue State University) directed the institution's reopening. This is effective from today, September 28.

Mrs Mfaga Modom, the Registrar, signed a statement indicating that the resumption date for all categories of students would be announced later.

The statament reads in part: "On the directive of the Vice Chancellor, I write to inform all staff members of the university community and the general public that the university will reopen with effect from Wednesday, September 28, 2022."
