Former Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomole, has said Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the labour party in the 2023 election lacks the capacity to fix insecurity in Nigeria.

The former national Chairman of the ruling All progressive Congress(APC), made this claim on Sunday while speaking at the party youth summit in Abuja.

Obi in his recent interview with the CNN had said that Nigeria is on the verge of collapse, and that if elected, he would handle insecurity and challenges affecting the country.

Oshiomole, however, stresses that Obi had failed to fix insecurity in Anambra while he was governor of the state and hence lacked the capacity to liberate Nigeria from it's plight of insecurity.

He further made reference to the security challenges faced under Obi's tenure as the governor of Anambra state. Oshiomole went further to say that Willie Obiano had to inherit these insecurity challenges from Obi which required maximum efforts for him to tackle.

"So, when he(Obi) says "I will fix Nigetia ask him, have you fixed your state?" he added.
