man was arrested for stealing money from an offering box at a church in Osun State.
The suspect, Opeyemi Olufemi, was seen riding on a motorcycle with a school bag when he was apprehended by policemen on stop and search duties along Igbara Odo/Akure Road. His bag contained NGN 620,115 in different denominations. The bag also contained papers with prayer requests. He was unable to explain the source of the money or give an exact account of the amount in the bag. Later, he confessed that he had stolen the money from a church offering vault of the CAC church Ikeji Arakeji in Osun State. (Quote) (Report) (Like) |
