Many were trapped when a four-storey building collapsed along Aka Road in Uyo (Akwa Ibom State) on Saturday.

Witnesses claimed that many people were trapped in the building which was under construction at the time it collapsed on Saturday around 7:30 PM.

All emergency and security agencies were present on the ground. Four people were rescued and taken to the Hospital.

Residents living near the building claim that it was constructed with inferior materials.

Large number of people have gathered at the scene of the incident discussing the matter among themselves.

Is rather unfortunate. People should try and use good material for building.
