Henry Jan Gotip (chairman of Kanke LGA, Plateau state),who was kidnapped September 6th by unknown gunmen has just regained freedom.

DSP Alfred Alabo, spokesperson for the state police command, released a statement stating that Gotip was freed by his abductors at 11pm on September 7.

The gunmen invaded Gotip's residence at Kwang, shot sporadically and later abducted him to an unknown destination.

''The Kanke Local Government Council Chairman has been reunited with his family and will soon be debriefed by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Command to build up to available intelligence that will lead to the arrest of his abductors.'' Alabo said
