The Black Stars of Ghana stopped the home-based Super Eagles (CHAN) from qualifying for the 2023 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN). They beat them 5-4 on penalties.

To qualify for next year's tournament in Algeria, the Eagles had to overcome a deficit of two goals in Ghana.

The match ended with a 2-0 win for Nigeria, leaving the aggregate at 2-2.

Ghana's side won all five penalty kicks, while the Eagles missed one and were unable to win.

After a scoreless first half, the Nigerian team put pressure on Ghanaians at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

After Zulkifilu Mohammed's goal for Nigeria, the Eagles took the lead in 75 minutes.
