Popular Nigerian actress, Helen Duru in a video on her official Instagram account on Saturday, accused operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) of attacking her in her apartment in Enugu state. The video showed the actress all covered in her own blood with a fractured skull.

According to her the Officers forcefully broke into her house at around 2am in the morning, after they told her to step down and unlock the balcony door and she refused. Duru alleged that the men who attacked her and beat her up with rods, sticks and a USB chord spoke in Hausa language.



She said: “They spoke in Hausa language but all I could hear was “yamiri”. I could feel the rage in them as I kept screaming Jesus. I feared for my life and ran into the bathroom but when I came out thinking they had gone, one of them saw me, took his instrument and hit me on the head repeatedly till blood started dripping”.
