Sowore claims INEC allocated 33,000 votes to him in 2019 by D1ANA(f) : 6:39 am On Sep 03, 2022

Omoyele Sowore (Africa Action Congress presidential candidate) has claimed that 33,000 votes were allocated by the Independent National Electoral Commission to him during the 2019 elections.

SaharaReporters Publisher said that he had challenged the results when he was arrested and that he didn't believe the election was legitimate.

Sowore claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari's second term was unfairly won in the 2019 election.

He said, “For those of us who have been around for so long, marks his 32 years experience fighting for democracy and consolidating it, I will make sure that the people of Nigeria are not short-changed in the course of being citizens of this country.
“My slogan has not changed but evolved because of the dynamics of political situation in Nigeria. We have got to the point where we are impacted that we cannot continue like this.

“I was allocated 33,000 votes by INEC. I said it when I was arrested and arraigned that I didn’t believe that the election was legit. Even though I was not evolved in election litigation matters, the litigation of that election showed the underbelly of it wasn’t legit election. You know there is a court of law and court of justice; there was no justice in that pronouncement.”

Sowore added, “There is no way you can calculate the number of votes you got if your votes were passed through a basket that has no credibility. You cannot be imagining this is the number of votes when processes for voting, counting and announcing results are compromised. That was what 2019 was about. We hope 2023 will be different. If not, we better be ready for the consequences. This is not a threat.”

politicians are not always realistic with their expectations and analysis of the political realities. what makes him think that he has what it takes to defeat the likes of APC and PDP in a general electionhuh... He has not gained that popularity yet... It was not INEC that allocated 33,000 votes to him, that was his level of popularity for now.
