 Two people have died while seven people were rescued in a boat mishap in Miga Local Government Area of Jigawa State. A resident told DAILY POST that the incident happened on Monday at about 1000hrs when nine farmers were returning from the farm between Galauchime to Sansani village in Miga LGA of the state. He explained that the canoe capsized due to the rain and windstorm. Police spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, confirmed the incident to DAILY POST. He said out of the nine farmers, seven people were rescued while the other two were not found. They are; Imran Rabiu ‘m’ 12 years and Tasiu Rabiu ‘m’ age 14 years. The Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Police Command, CP Aliyu Sale Tafida, prayed for the departed souls to have eternal peace and sympathized with their families and relatives. |
