A level 14 school teacher has been apprehended for impersonating the Assistant Superintendent of Police in Oyo State.

Adebisi Ayodele an assistant headmaster at a school in Ogun state was paraded yesterday August 22 for pretending to be an Assistant Superintendent for Police (ASP) for many years.

The Special Oyo Police Operation Squad, codenamed "Operation Restore Peace", arrested the suspect on Sunday, August 21, 2022, along Asejire Road, Egbeda Local Government. Ibadan is the capital of Oyo State.

Two unexpended canisters belonging to him were found by the police.

Ayodele, when confronted by journalists, admitted that he has been impersonating the police officer for thirteen years.

Upon interrogation by the police, the suspect who has since admitted to committing the crime, confessed that his passion for the police job led him into the act.
