Islamic scholar shot dead in Yobe by D1ANA(f) : 6:48 am On Aug 21, 2022 |
 Sheikh Goni Aisami–Gashua, an Islamic scholar from Yobe, was gunned down on Saturday, August 20, at Jajimaji, the headquarters of Karasuwa's local government council. According to some reports, the cleric was on his way from Gashua towards Kano when he was stopped by gunmen. DSP Dungus Abdulkarim (spokesman for the state police command) confirmed that some suspects were holding AK-47 rifles and were taken into custody.
