 Nigeria's Falconets won their Group C campaign at this ongoing U-20 Women's World Cup by beating Canada 3-1 The Falconets concluded their group stage campaign with style at the Estadio Alajuela Morera Soto on Thursday, August 18. Two goals from the penalty spot by Esther Onyenezide and another goal in the second half by Chioma Olise saw the Falconets record their biggest win in the tournament in Costa Rica. They finished with nine points in Group C thanks to this feat. The Netherlands will be facing the Falconets in Alajuela's quarter-final match on Monday, August 22.
