Simon Lalong, Director General of All Progressive Congress Presidential Campaign Council has stated that the party is nearly ready for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential election for 2023.

After inspecting the facilities at Abuja's campaign headquarters, Lalong made this statement on Saturday.

News recalls Senator Abdullahi Adamu, APC National Chairman, announced the Plateau State Governor as the DG of party's Presidential Campaign Council, shortly after meeting President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja at the Aso Rock Villa.

In a statement released on Saturday in Jos, Dr Makut Macham (the spokesperson for the governor) disclosed the party's readiness.

Macham said that Lalong was also received at headquarters by Hon James Faleke, secretary of APC Presidential Campaign Council.

He also stated that Lalong met with campaign team as part of efforts to ensure a formidable campaign team.

"The DG also held a closed-door meeting with the APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu, at the headquarters.

"The duo thereafter held another meeting with the Speaker, House of Representatives, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, and some lawmakers from State Houses of Assembly", he said.
