Azeez Adeshina Sanyaolu, known professionally as Naira Marley has claimed that he wants to support the success of the forthcoming presidential election by making a donation.

He made this statement on Twitter today, Wednesday, August 10, 2022.

In his tweet, the Nigerian singer said he wants to donate the sum of one billion naira for the 2023 general elections. However, he is confused about the best political party to vote for which he can donate the money to.

He wrote, "I wanna donate 1billion naira for 2023 election, but what party are we voting for?"

His tweet garnered reactions from Nigerians from various political parties.

Reacting to his tweet, many Nigerians urged him to donate the money to their various political parties. The supporters of Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and Bola Ahmed Tinubu begged him to support their candidate and donate the money to their party.

However, some Nigerians maintained that they no longer vote parties, but competence.

More so, some people argued that his net worth is not up to that amount which he claimed he wants to donate for the election. Others argued that Naira Marley is bigger than one billion naira.
