The talented actress Sola Sobowale described leaving Nigeria to work menial jobs so she could support her kids while they attended school in the UK.

The film diva revealed she abandoned the fame and glamour to give her children the maternal affection they "richly seek" while they are studying in UK universities in the most recent episode of WithChude.

In the early 2000s, Sobowale also described leaving her delectable acting profession in Nigeria, where she was earning over N5 million every few months, for menial work in England.

She claimed that in order to make ends meet while living in the UK, she performed various "7.5 pounds per hour" jobs that included cooking, cleaning, and scrubbing office floors.

"When I returned to England, I saw the kids lacked maternal touch. Then I relocated to England and forgot about popularity," she said to media personality Chude Jideonwo.

"Now that they're all employed, they understand my effort and want me to return to what I do best, which is why I'm back in Nigeria.

"I practically lived in Enugu while I was filming the movie 'Christ In Me,' which brought me renown. I was given a new assignment to film one and then return, but eventually I completed over ten films and was stationed in Enugu. And I spent a week in one place. I earned N800,000 in that single week in the year 2000."

“So like that, when I’m coming back to Lagos, I had over N5 million within how many months, the money was blowing.

"So I quit there to work for 7 pounds an hour in England. I then needed to put in more effort before I could earn 1000 pounds. Because I am aware of what is meant by "dignity in labor," this lady is capable of anything.

"It was necessary to provide food on my table, clothing on my children, and shelter over my head, I will sweep anyplace. I mopped, washed, cooked, swept, and cleaned offices. I did all of those, yes. I wasn't sleeping, which is another issue. I always wear my uniform with the corporate name shown on the train or bus.
