A Magistrates Court has sentenced Ayuba Enupe (22 years old) to three years imprisonment in Kwara State for housebreaking and the theft of five 50kg sacks from Kaiama Local Government Area.

Abdullahi Ahmed Boro the Magistrate gave the sentence without any option for a fine to the convict after finding him guilty.

Kwara State Command, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, arrested Ayuba after he allegedly broke into the home of Mr. Jimoh Adigun at General hospital Road in Kaima on Thursday 21 July 2022. He then took five 50kg bags with him.

Ayuba was attempting to get rid of stolen materials when he was stopped by civil defense corps operatives and the complainant reported it.

Further investigation revealed that Ayuba was earlier involved in another housebreaking and theft of two Android phones from the residence of one Abdulrasaq in Kuokuo area, Kaiama.

The Acting Commandant, Jonah Gabriel, appealed to Kwarans to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement in their domains.

He assured Nigerians that the Civil Defence Corps will not compromise in her duties to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians and requested more cooperation and support towards achieving a crime-free society.
