After a victory of 1-0 over Cameroon in the quarter-final fixture in Casablanca on Thursday, July 14, Nigeria's Super Falcons qualified for the semi-finals of the Women Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Atletico Madrid star Rasheedat Ajibade scored the only goal in the game in the 56th minute. This was enough to secure Randy Waldrum's women reaching the last four.

To reach the final tournament, Nigeria will face Morocco.

Four teams that reach the semi-finals of the ongoing WAFCON will receive automatic tickets to the FIFA Women's World Cup.

To date, Nigeria, Zambia, Morocco and Nigeria have qualified to represent Africa in the Women's World Cup in Australia in 2023.
