“I’m tired of feeling sad and helpless” Singer, Falz cries out by jadoo51(m) : 5:20 pm On Jul 08, 2022 |
Folarin Falana, a Nigerian singer who is also known as Falz, has lamented the state of Nigeria. The singer revealed that he has become tired of feeling sad, ashamed, and helpless. Falz made this statement in response to Senator Shehu Sani's assertion that the government has spent more than N4 trillion naira for defense over seven years, but the country still lives under the mercy of terrorists. Shehu tweeted: "The Government spent more than N4 trillion naira in defense over seven years; including a billion dollars for Tucano jets, and another close to one billion on attack helicopters; and we still live at the mercy a roving band of terrorists on motorbikes." Falz was quick to respond and ask Falz when statements like these are too ridiculous. “At what point those this sh!t become too ridiculous?! I’m really tired of feeling sad, ashamed and helpless” In a post shared on the microblogging platform Twitter, Falz opined that the suggestion of a walk for peace sounded like a joke and very disrespectful. Falz recalled how people were murdered in cold blood, and no iota of justice had been served for more than a year after the incident. The rapper questioned Sanwo-Olu on how there would be peace when justice had not been served on behalf of Nigerians who had their lives snatched away by the armed forces. Falz also questioned Sanwo-Olu if he wanted to sweep the issue of murdered citizens under the carpet, adding that young Nigerians were still constantly being harassed and extorted by Police officers. |
