Israel Adesanya won the UFC middleweight title with a unanimous victory over Jarred Cannier.

Adesanya faced Jared Cannonier, a middleweight competitor, at UFC 276 in Las Vegas on Sunday morning.

In a stunning feat of technical accuracy, Israel Adesanya defeated Jared Cannonier at UFC 276 (49-46), 49-46, and 50-45).

Adesanya delighted the crowd with a tribute to WWE legend The Undertaker during his walkout. Although he was too fast and adroit for his opponent, he still stoked the appetite to defend his next match.

Since his 2018 debut, 'The Last Stylebender" has steadily improved and is undefeated at the Octagon's middleweight division.

He won the Fight of the Year interim title against Kelvin Gastelum in 2019.

Robert Whittaker was defeated by 'Izzy' in the following year. The titles were then unified.

He has now successfully defended his title four times. Adesanya suffered a single setback in a record that was otherwise flawless (22-1) when he attempted to transition to light heavyweight. He was defeated by Jan Blachowicz, then-champion.

On Sunday, the New Zealander of Nigerian descent successfully defended his middleweight belt for the fifth time.

Robert Whittaker was defeated by Adesanya in February's second fight. Cannonier, however, knocked out Derek Brunson to make him the weight's No. 1 challenger.

Cannonier did not manage to take down Adesanya in Sunday's final round, and Adesanya was cautious as the crowd became more restless.

Cannonier unleashed a torrent of punches to counter Adesanya’s clean jabs.

Cannonier, however, was unable to take down the opponent and was defeated unanimously.
