Two officers were reportedly killed when gunmen attacked an Enugu State police checkpoint.

It happened at Garki, MTD Area in Enugu South Local Government Area on Thursday morning, June 30,

According to reports, the gunmen attacked the checkpoint at 9:10 a.m.

Vanguard was told by Daniel Ndukwe (spokesperson for the State Police Command), that he confirmed the attack and could not specify if there were any police casualties.

"Yes, I learned that masked gunmen fired shots there this morning. But I cannot confirm whether any police officers were killed." According to the PPRO.
