Three suspects were arrested by officers of the Lagos State Police Command's Rapid Response Squad for defrauding the public. They disguised themselves as passengers and drivers.

After receiving a tip, operatives from the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corp intercepted the trio and handed them over to the RRS.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Dele Olawale, Remi Ogunleye, and Kole Akintunjoye, all aged 52 and 45 respectively, reside in Ogun State. However, they return to Lagos every day to prey upon unsuspecting passengers.

They operate in a Volkswagen Golf with registration number KRD998 DE and act like total strangers to each other to disarm their victims. Their nefarious acts are mostly carried out in Lagos Island, Lekki, and Ikoyi.

CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi (Commander RRS) has transferred the case to State Headquarters for further investigation.
