The Catholic Diocese Of Ondo has set Friday, June 17 for the mass burial of worshippers who were killed in the Massacre at St Francis Catholic Church Owo, Ondo State on June 5.

44 people were killed, while others suffered various degrees of injury.

The Director of Social Communication in the Diocese Of Ondo, Rev.Fr. Augustine Ikwu confirmed the burial plan to the newsmen he stated that the mass burial would be held at Emure Road in Owo.

The clergy urged the parishioners of the state and the Christian faithful to attend the funeral mass, which begins at 9 am.

He stated that the deceased would be paid their final respect at the funeral mass, which will be attended by Rotimi Akeredolu, the Ondo State Governor, and members of his cabinet.

He encouraged Nigerian Christians, particularly Christians, to pray for the repose and quick healing of those who were seriously injured or for the Catholic faithful who lost their lives in the attack.
