Bandits are believed to have killed 32 people in attacks on four Kajuru Local Government Areas of Kaduna State communities.

Ungwan Gamu is affected by Ungwan Sarki, Dogon Noma and Maikori.

Although the state police have yet to confirm the incident the District Head of Kufena Titus Dauda told Channels Television that the attack occurred on Sunday and that 32 people died, while several churches and houses were also destroyed.

Dauda said that bandits arrived in large numbers and attacked Dogon Noma at dawn Sunday morning. They killed many people, mostly men, before moving on to Ungwan Gamu or Maikori villages, where they killed more people and burned down their houses.

Further, the head of the district said that the victims were laid to rest and the affected communities had been abandoned by residents because they were afraid of being attacked.
