The police have killed one of the leaders of a gang that terrorized Anambra state, along with five other members of the gang.

Four kidnapped victims were also saved by the police in Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area.

Ikenga Tochukwu (spokesman for the state police command) stated that the police operatives with the vigilante in the vicinity stormed the site on Sunday, June 5 and rescued four victims. One Emeka was also taken into custody.


After being interrogated Emeka admitted to the crime, leading detectives to Oba's hideout where they engaged the gangsters.

Chinedu Ajogu was the gang leader and five other members, including their native doctor were also taken into custody.
