Nigerian skitmaker and activist, Debo Macaroni better known as Mr Macaroni has shut down a troll who berated him for leading the Lekki toll gate reopening protest.

Earlier on, the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) announced that tolling activities will resume at the gate by April.

The government had urged the people of the state, especially residents of Lekki and Ikoyi to show understanding ahead of the reopening of the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge toll plaza by the Limited (LCC).

The comedian who wasn’t impressed with their decision was at the forefront leading a revolt against the reopening of the toll gate.

He had tweeted, “We are live at the LCC and Stake Holders meeting. The Lekki Estate Residents and Stakeholders Association Chairman has announced the decision of all Residents which is NO TO TOLLING!!!”.

A troll had slammed him for getting involved in issues that didn’t concern him.

She questioned what he has with LCC and why he was against it since he doesn’t live in the vicinity.

She wrote, “What business do you have with LLC? Do you understand the importance of tolling at all? Besides, you don’t even live in Lekki so why are you spearheading a crusade of revolt?”.

Replying her, Mr Macaroni made her known that he lives in Lekki, has a office in Lekki and has 15 permanent staffs and 100 on and off crew members.

He tweeted, “I’m a Lekki Landlord Ma. I have an office in Lekki Ma. I have about 15 permanent staff and over 100 cast and crew members on and off that come to work for us every month at Lekki. I only shared the decision of the residents and chairman. So why are you crying ma?”.

Kemi Filani news recalls Mr Macaroni who opposed the reopening of toll gate revealed that he expected the events of police brutality up until October 20, 2020 be formally acknowledged.

He added that the government should tender public apology and should recommend a police reformation among others.

“I expect that the events of police brutality up until October 20, 2020, are formally acknowledged.

“The recommendations, going from justice for victims; a public apology from the government; police reform and all of that, should be put in place. Anything contrary to what the panel has recommended will not cut it.

“It would simply mean that the government is not willing and ready t accept the reality of things.”
