Nigerian comedian cum actor Ayo Makun popularly called AY, has expressed excitement over a significant milestone on the photo and video-sharing app Instagram.

AY has hit 12 million followers on Instagram, making him one of the most followed male celebrities on the social media platform.

The father of two expressed appreciation to everyone who has followed him on Instagram and prayed that God would bless them.

He wrote: I am very grateful to everybody who has followed me on Instagram. We are 12 million stronger together. God bless you all.

Kemi Filani News recalls AY revealed why he sometimes replies to trolls.

AY who is the producer of ‘Christmas in Miami’ in a chat with Hip Tv said: “There are some controversial issues that must be addressed and there are some you need to ignore because you know people are trying to use you to ‘catch cruise’. So the one that you have to ignore, you ignore.

Sometimes when I am not silent, I am doing it because of my child. I have a daughter. I don’t want her seeing stuffs online without having a basic understanding of what it is.Some of these people who put you out there, they don’t care. They don’t even look at the damages. All they want to get is just something that will make them trend.

Speaking further, AY said trolls don’t have the awareness that they are destroying someone’s life.

“They don’t even have the awareness that they are destroying someone’s life and also destroying someone’s future in line with business and everything. They don’t really care. So once they get that 24 hours of trend, they are happy.

So sometimes, when that information that is being put out is not correct, I tell people asking me to quiet that this is not the time to keep quiet. This is the time for hear your own side of the story, do the analysis, put one and one together and then pass a judgment whether it is fair or not”.
