Popular Nigerian actress, practical spiritualist, relationship therapist, and philanthropist, known as Angela Nwosu has taken to her social media to tell her fans that she's not a Facebook influencer.

An influencer charges money to influence and promote a brand, it’s a business to them. Even if they buy your products, you still have to pay them well before they give you a shout-out on their space, or make them brand ambassadors to influence your products and services. You have to give them pictures of your products and captions to use to promote your business. People notice and patronize you through their influence.

I am not all that, I do not get paid to promote. I am Onitsha main market of Facebook. As the businesswoman that I am, I only fully influence my business. I am my brand ambassador. I also buy from people and promote their businesses, without charging a dime. I do it as a way of supporting their businesses, creating awareness, and helping them to grow.

In doing that, I am very careful and particular about people I post their businesses, I make sure they are those I can easily reach out to if they fail to deliver. If I buy from a vendor and also promote the person, I take full responsibility for whatever problem that comes out of it, which is why I will never promote those that I can’t vouch for. It’s not every business I buy from and promote, unlike an influencer that promotes almost every business, as long as you pay them for it.

It’s easy to spot an influencer on all social media platforms when you see them, not only on Facebook. If you impress me, I sell your business for free, and it will be massive back-to-back sales. Anything I sell is a market.
